Call letters for 92.3 "Free FM," formerly "K-Rock" (WXRK), the former flagship station of the Howard Stern Show. The WXRK call letters now belong to K-Rock in Cleveland, which Opie and Anthony broadcast on via tape delay.
In 1998, when Opie and Anthony were looking for a new job in the NYC area. They were all but officially signed to WXRK, but of course Howard Stern objected, and whined to Mel Karmazin and they eventually went on to WNEW.
After Howard left, the call letters changed to WFNY-FM "Free FM". O&A now broadcast from the station for CBS Radio.
