WBCN
From OAPedia.com
WBCN is "the Rock of Boston" at 104.1.
When Opie and Anthony joined WAAF, WBCN was the main competitor. WBCN's afternoon drive DJ Mark Parenteau had been at the station for more than 15 years and O&A dominated him, eventually Parenteau was let go and Nik Carter replaced him. O&A continuted to dominate, until they were let go from WAAF.
After being syndicated from WNEW, first to Philly, and then to Boston, O&A ended up on WBCN. O&A made nice (on air at least) with Nik Carter, and were number one in male listeners during their Infinity Syndication.
After being dropped by Infinity, Nik Carter regained his afternoon drive shift and was released at the end of 2004.
Oedipus was WBCN's Program Director until 2004 as well, he's known for his alternative lifestyle and "Secret Room."
O&A are once again broadcasting on WBCN through the CBS Radio deal in 2006.
