Trout flu
From OAPedia.com
Influenza A (H1T1) virus is a subtype of influenzavirus A. Some strains of H1T1 are endemic in humans and cause a small fraction of all influenza-like illness and a large fraction of all seasonal influenza. H1T1 strains caused roughly half of all show related flu infections in 2009. Other strains of H1T1 are endemic in fish(trout) influenza. It should be noted that some scientists dispute the abbreviation "H1T1", claiming that due to the location of transmission, Trout Flu should technically be designated as "H0M0".
In late September 2009, Opie declared that flu due to a new strain of trout-origin H1T1 was responsible for the 2009 flu pandemic. It's origin was from the Roscoe, NY fishing trip dubbed "The Gregg and Bobby Fly Fishing Extravaganza" organized by Robert Kelly. This strain is often called "trout flu" by the public media.
