"The Ecstasy of Gold" is the instrumental theme song during the graveyard scene from the movie The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, composed by Ennio Morricone. It has served as the opening music for The Opie and Anthony Show since 2004 and is also played before O&A officially start their XM show.

There is a second version that was performed by the renowned cello player, Yo-Yo Ma which is mainly used as an opening for shows that are worst of - if the boys are sick, taking the day off, or just not there for some unknown reason.

For a time, the version of the song had been rotated in and out with various other versions. Notable ones include both Metallica versions (from the album S&M and the straight electric version), Brother Joe's phenomenal take on it, and various listener submitted versions.
