Syndication Underground
From OAPedia.com
Syndication Underground is the free sharing of older (non-XM) Opie and Anthony material. SBlueman and FedExEd are two major contributors, as well as the Virus Spreader.
Syndication Underground started back in 2000 when a couple people started streaming The Opie and Anthony Show from WNEW 102.7 FM in New York over the internet to their friends. Original syndication underground broadcasters include: ChuckRadio (the Godfather of SU), Av8er Radio (currently a member at opieanthony.net), RottyRadio, Red Camaro, and SBlueman Radio.
Syndication Underground originally was simply just underground feeds of the show but over time it expanded to include file sharing. SBlueman, TranceForce, Stingray, and others are responsible for the majority of the shows currently in circulation in various FTP sites, oDC and mIRC rooms, OAVirus.com, the O&A Virus Spreader, and more.
Opie has (allegedly) occasionally acknowledged Syndication Underground after returning to XM as "the fans who helped us return, you know who you are." He has also made references to "fans who get the shows in other ways" during a push to get fans to buy more XM radios in 2005.
