Stinky

Stinky was a call screener and popular show staff member during Opie and Anthony's tenure at 102.7 WNEW in New York. He frequently smoked pot with guests and friends of the show in a stairwell, which became known as Club Stinky.

Stinky replaced Spaz seamlessly upon his departure from the show. The Spaz Cam, a proto-Paltalk in studio camera, was redubbed the Stinky Cam in his honor. On a related note, Stinky's role as a call screener was in stark contrast to Spaz's style of hanging up on callers. For this, Stinky earned instant respect from the listeners and callers frequently ended their calls with "Stinky Rules!"

'Stinky' Becomes 'Awesome Garrett'

On March 23rd of 2002, Stinky became known as Awesome Garrett. The change took place when Jim Norton and the boys were talking about religious extremists. Audio was played of one such group singing "Our God is an awesome God". Shortly after coming back from a commercial break, Jim Norton had nothing but kind words for Stinky and began singing "Our Garrett is an Awesome Garrett". After this, the name change became wildly popular despite being disputed by a small portion of the hardcore listeners.

Where is he now?

After the show was cancelled in August of 2002, Stinky became an employee for Sirius Satellite Radio. This did not change his good standing with the Opie and Anthony show.
