A slow news day is what happens when there aren't any major news stories that need to be covered, so news stations air a lot of unimportant or special interest stories. O&A believe a slow news day is what contributed to Don Imus' "nappy headed hos" controversy, because otherwise the story wouldn't have gotten the attention that it did.
