Roland

Roland was the guest booker for the Opie and Anthony show. Even though he sometimes managed to get great guests, he is still a bumbling ninny when placed in front of a microphone. He stutters and trails off, usually after mumbling something retarded, and also likes to respond to questions as directly as possible.

Trivia

• During an O&A bit, he repeatedly mispronounced Danny Bonaduce's name, either pronouncing it "Bona-doose" or "Bona-dooshy" instead of "Bona-doochy". Even when O&A told him the correct pronunciation, he would forget it and go back to pronouncing it the wrong way.
• Known for creating the term "Friday-wide."
• When asked what he likes about a movie, he'll often respond with a vague description like "The action...ummm....drama. It has ummm....suspense...and ummmm....intrigue."
• Worked on the Jimmy Kimmel show for a while before being picked up by the boys.
• Gets very nervous around politicians and has to run to the bathroom and make a doody when he's around them (much like the scene in Forrest Gump when Forrest meets JFK and has to go pee). This was revealed after he met President Bill Clinton in a Starbucks near the studio, and had to run to the bathroom.
• Is both an Elvis fan and an opera fan, and has tried to do an Elvis impersonation and sing opera on the air. As usual, he failed miserably doing both.
• Is of Mexican heritage, Which explains why he refers to the popular movie franchise Shrek, as “Trek”.
• When he was asked to list his top ten movies of 2007, he was accused by Paul O of Ron and Fez of ripping him off (Hoo hoo hoo!). He was also made fun of in a song parody by East Side Dave. When asked what he thought about it, Roland wished that Dave's upcoming baby would be born retarded. Dave later entered the studio to confront Roland, where (to the surprise of everyone on planet Earth) Roland kicked his ass physically and verbally.
• He agreed to have Doctor Steve perform a prostate exam on him on the air, but only after O&A negotiated with him that he could book any 3 guests he wanted. He ended up booking Marshall Herskovitz and Bitsie Tulloch from the (subsequently cancelled) TV show Quarterlife.
• Giggles like the Pillsbury Doughboy when he's tickled. This was discovered by accident by Jim Norton and soon brought to the show.
  • When Master Po tried to tickle him, he was too rough, so Roland lashed out at him and goofed on his dead dog.
  • O&A made a bit out of Roland's giggling by having him read tragic news stories while being tickled.
  • Roland's brother is a giant frightening man.
  • Roland has seen Bruce Springsteen live 94 times.

Roland's Figurative Demise

Unfortunately Roland was given the boot by the legion of faceless corporate douche bags, Sirius radio. His last day was on October 31, 2008, and it really fucking sucks. Vaya con Dios, Roland.
