Real Rock TV was a local TV show in the Boston area that showcased rock music acts and featured radio personalities from WAAF. Opie and Anthony appeared on this show during their time at the station. The show used to be broadcast on WABU but was taken off the air because one musical guest showed her nipples through her clothing. The show eventually moved to a Spanish language station. In April, 2009, Opie began uploading clips from this show to YouTube, with the help of Primetime Sam Roberts, to show how awful he and Anthony were during the early days of their career.

One of the more infamous stunts Opie and Anthony pulled on the show involved a Tickle Me Elmo. During the Holiday season of 1996 when the toy was still in demand to the point that parents were paying thousands of dollars for the toy, O&A obtained one and smashed, desecrated and drove over the doll with a steam roller. As the doll was newsworthy at the time many Boston area news stations reported on the stunt. Opie and Anthony speak well of the segment even though they have not seen it in years as of May, 2009.

Most of the other footage has since been deemed cringe-worthy. Segments have been captured to YouTube O&A have barely been able to stomach the embarrassing nature of the clips. The hacky jokes jokes, the novice abilities of O&A at the time, Anthony's free clothing, Opie's 90s grunge hair and surfer dude facade and bad production quality of the show itself are among the more common reasons shows have been called awful.
