Pest is the common name for any über fan of Opie and Anthony. Pests are typically known for being annoying and disruptive, especially when anyone goes after O&A or someone close to them, and will do anything for the B-b-b-boys. Originally referred to as The O&A Army, the name "pests" came from the famous Orson Welles outtakes where he goes off on the directors of a commercial saying "You're such pests..."

Infamous Pest Attacks

The Opie and Anthony Pests have made a name for themselves by assaulting any enemy of O&A. Here is a list of a few of their attacks:

• In the early days of XM, they attacked Tony Danza's message board and completely shut it down.
• They have often gone after radio show hosts who attacked O&A, including Jim Philips and Maxwell.
• The Pests terrorized Scott Ferrall's show on Sirius until his show was dropped after a matter of days. Ferrall had taken a job at Sirius and then proceeded to make verbal unprovoked attacks on the boys, whom he had used to refer to as his friends. The Pests called in to his radio show so much that their insulting and O&A-advertising calls dominated each show.
• They have received television exposure numerous times by running onscreen with Opie and Anthony signs and screaming out plugs for the show. This practice is part of a game O&A ran called "Assault on the Media".
• When XM202 was initially taken off DirecTV in April, 2006, the Pests organized a campaign to request the channel's return. Their efforts worked and the channel temporarily returned to the lineup.
• After O&A were suspended for the Homeless Charlie incident in 2007, the Pests bombarded XM with cancellations and began destroying their radios to protest. After the suspension was over, Opie addressed the Pests on June 15 during The Walk Over, and credited them with sending a message to XM and helping them keep their jobs.
