Oompa Loompa
From OAPedia.com
Oompa-Loompa is the nickname for the man who ran the channel Frank's Place on XM73 (which has since been renamed High Standards). He was nicknamed this due to his striking resemblance to the midget workers from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
Frank's Place originally broadcast from the spacious (roughly 15'x20') studio that Opie and Anthony came to occupy. When O&A came to XM, Frank's Place was thrown out of that studio, and given the broom closet (about 6'x10') across the hall. Naturally, this created much resentment toward The Opie and Anthony Show, and a series of mysterious instances of sabotage began to occur.
Most notable occurrances include
- Constantly having to reconfigure the board
- Disappearance of the office boombox
- Disappearance of the morning "Variety Hour" playlists
The occurances eventually stopped, due to the presence of a lock on the studio door, and the realization that O&A weren't going anywhere any time soon.
