Marge is a spokesperson for The Little Shelter animal shelter out on Long Island. She often calls into The Opie and Anthony Show to promote the shelter and to try and get O&A to come and help them out. O&A regularly goof on her, and accuse her of euthanizing the animals and having sex with them. They often pretend to play "cat shovel baseball" when she calls in, by playing the sound of kittens followed by the sound of a shovel smashing into them. There was also some controversy with The Little Shelter when Opie's brother Brett tried to drop off a blind cat and the shelter refused to take it, but the matter was soon resolved.
