Keith Olbermann is a sports and political commentator known for his liberal viewpoints. During the Don Imus "nappy headed hos" controversy, Olbermann (who works for MSNBC, the same station that simulcast Imus' radio show) went behind the scenes to suggest Imus be fired. He never came forward and spoke out against Imus on the air, however, until after Imus' firing when it was safe for him to do so. He also had on Jesse Jackson and groveled in front of him by telling him his role in Imus' dismissal and by telling Jackson his substitute host was Alison Stewart, a black woman. Opie and Anthony, good friends with Imus, condemned him for this; Opie even admitted he was a fan of his until this incident.

Olbermann also stuck his foot in his mouth when he came out against another co-worker (David Shuster) using the term "pimping" to describe Chelsea Clinton's role in her mother Hillary's Presidential campaign. O&A played audio of Olbermann using the exact same term to describe General Petraeus. They also goofed on Olbermann's use of "big words" such as "assiduous" in his apology for Shuster's remark.
