Jim Philips

Host of The Philips Phile, a radio show in Orlando, Florida (also broadcast on XM 152). Recently made on-air comments about doing an Assault on the Media, and how he didn't want anyone stealing the idea from him. This angered Opie and Anthony and they called in an attack from the O&A Army on July 20, 2005. The attack involved O&A fans calling into the show and harassing Philips, who responded with bad radio humor and by hanging up on some callers, even though he told the callers he would take them on. Philips even went so far as to say he was the #1 non-music program on XM. O&A responded by having Eric Logan on the air, who denied Philips' claims.
On Day 2 of the attack, Philips and his crew continued slandering O&A. This time, Philips said:
- O&A were paying XM to broadcast their own show, and they were not paid by XM
- Eric Logan's call to O&A was a fake
- Opie hated Anthony
- Anthony's face looked like a vagina, and his beard was covering up herpes
- Opie and Eric Logan needed a haircut
He spent his entire 4 hour show discussing O&A, constantly dumping out of callers, challenging callers to answer difficult trivia questions in order to speak on the show, and playing more commercials than usual to avoid being on-air. He also repeatedly said the day was Wednesday instead of Thursday, and that he was quitting XM. He sounded like he was panicking. The following morning, O&A went on the air to reveal Philips filed a cease-and-desist order against them so they wouldn't play clips from his show. That same day, he bragged on his show (which sounded pretaped) that he was sending an injunction to the show, which is untrue if he was able to talk about it.
