Howard Stern has claimed to invent EVERY radio bit ever done. This is a list of everything he, his co-workers, or his fans (A.K.A. Zombies) claim that he invented:

• WOW - When confronted by an Opie and Anthony fan about O&A inventing WOW, Howard claimed when he was a disc jockey back in Washington, DC, he would have his listeners tie bandannas around their cars which would cause women to take their clothes off in their own cars. Opie, Anthony, and Jim Norton ripped Howard's explanation apart, criticizing how he said listeners tied bandannas "around" their cars instead of "to" their cars, how tying a bandanna to your car is nothing new and that people have done that with flags, and how his explanation of what women did in their cars wasn't explained very well.

• The Osbournes - Howard once mentioned on his show how someone should go around and film Ozzy Osbourne and his family during their day-to-day lives. When The Osbournes premiered, Howard claimed it was a ripoff of his idea, although it most likely came from an episode of Cribs which starred the Osbourne family.

• Jay Leno's "Jaywalking" segment on The Tonight Show/Street Smarts - Howard claims Leno's bit was based on his own bit where he asks homeless people and pornstars questions in order to get retarded answers out of them. Jay Leno claims his bit came from Steve Allen. Howard also claims the TV show Street Smarts ripped this off from him as well. He even tried to sue a production company to get credit for using this idea.

• Reality television

• Doing anything on the radio - Howard once said "All of radio rips me off. People were doing nothing when I got into it." Howard apparently forgot the 50+ years radio existed before he became a star.

• Syndication - Howard claims he's the first person to have his radio show syndicated across the country, although radio programs had been syndicated for years before Howard.

• Best Ofs

• MTV Unplugged - Howard claimed he was the one who got musicians to perform their songs acoustically in studio, and that the whole "unplugged" movement came from that. Opie, Anthony, and Black Earl proved this was false by bringing up how other radio stations had musicians performing acoustically back in the 70s.

• Friends

• Everybody Hates Chris - Howard thinks this is a ripoff of his television show idea Howard Stern - The High School Years (which has been talked about for years but has yet to see the light of day).

• Putting interns on the air

• Having naked women in the studio

• His daughter's fat Jew-tits - OK, he might actually get partial credit for that one...

• Beavis and Butt-head - In a Rolling Stone interview in 1994, the following exchange took place:

Interviewer: "Are you Beavis and Butt-head's dirty uncle?"

Howard: "Yeah, maybe. I think Beavis and Butt-head is great. MTV wanted me to do a show for them. They said, "We love when you comment on records. We want a show where you'll talk over the videos." I said OK. We sat down and talked money. They had no fucking money."

Interviewer: "You're saying MTV stole your idea?"

Howard: "No, I think Beavis and Butt-head are very original. I'm not accusing anyone, but I pitched that idea to them."

• The View

• The Clay Aiken/Kelly Ripa/Rosie O'Donnell feud - Howard claims that the feud started when he called Kelly Ripa and told her how he supported her telling off Clay Aiken when he put his hand on her mouth during an episode of Live with Regis and Kelly. He claimed that after Kelly mentioned this call, that's when Rosie O'Donnell began to lash out at Kelly claiming that her comment to Clay was homophobic.

• Putting his radio show on television - Howard claimed Don Imus ripped him off by airing his radio show on television. What Howard forgets is that back in the 1950's, radio shows such as Amos 'N' Andy, Jack Benny, and Ozzie and Harriet were brought to television from radio.

• Are You Hot? - Howard claimed the show ripped off his on-air bit where he and a series of panelists judge women based on their looks. He even sued the show's producers and eventually settled the case.

• Posing as Jesus - When Kanye West appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone wearing a crown of thorns, Howard claimed he posed for a similar picture years before when he did a Rolling Stone photo shoot and that the Kanye West picture was a ripoff.

• American Idol - Apparently Howard thinks he invented talent shows, despite the existence of Arthur Godfrey, The Gong Show, Star Search, etc.

• Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader? - This is a "rip-off" of Howard because he used to have kids come in and compete in trivia contests with stupid celebrities.
