"Gonna 'Lectric Shock O.J." was a song parody done by Anthony and his band Rotgut during the O.J. Simpson murder case in 1994. It's a parody of the Otis Redding song "Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay", and was one of Anthony's many attempts to become famous and get out of his job at Apollo Air Conditioning. The song parody was given to Opie, then a DJ at WBAB, by Anthony's Brother Joe. It became so popular that Anthony eventually got invited to do Opie's radio show, eventually becoming one half of the Opie and Anthony duo.
