Dead to the show
From OAPedia.com
Dead to the Show refers to a person or character who is no longer recognized as a part of The Opie and Anthony Show. People who are dead to the show have been considered "friendly" and have typically made appearances on the program in the past, but have since rubbed O&A the wrong way.
Criteria
You can become Dead to the Show for committing one or more of the following acts:
- Back-stabbing Opie and Anthony by publicly talking trash.
- Having over-stayed your welcome by not being as funny as you once were.
Obituaries
People who are considered Dead to the Show include:
- Adam - Intern who was trashing O&A behind the scenes.
- Ben Sparks - Allegedly claimed he had a sex tape of Opie's fiancée with Bam Margera.
- Ed McGonigal - Won Car Crash Comedy for a spot on Opie and Anthony's Traveling Virus Comedy Tour, but backed out and allegedly trashed O&A on Kidd Chris's show in Philadelphia on WYSP.
- Frenchy - Ran his course and stopped being funny.
- Homeless Andrew - Was supposed to be the highlight of the 2006 Homeless Shopping Spree but didn't show up. He made excuses why he didn't appear, but Opie wanted to hear none of it.
- Homeless Charlie - Made derogatory comments on the air that got O&A suspended from XM. Although O&A apparently have no ill will toward Charlie, he has not been on the show since.
- Lady Di - Homeless and drinking hobo cum on the train tracks... choo choo
- Marion - Who cares.
- Jill Nicolini - Had a serious relationship with Anthony, but it ended when she caught him with another woman. After acting like a psycho bitch (burning the other girl's clothes, holding his stuff for ransom, and trashing him in an e-mail), Ant revealed she shits the bed and has awful implants. I doubt she'll be back on the show anytime soon. She has recently made an appearance at the compound.
- Rick Delgado - Bashed Opie and Jimmy in a magazine article.
- Spaz - Wanted to be a "character" on the show, among other things. A combination of problems led to his downfall.
- Sandy Kane - Sued the show after years of promotion.
Back from the Dead
The following people were dead at one point but have since patched things up with O&A.
- Andrew Dice Clay - Started talking trash and appearing on Sirius. Having been a personal friend of Opie's for a few years, this was a serious offense. On May 20, 2008, Dice appeared on the show again and attempted to resolve things with Opie and also with Club Soda Kenny, who he hadn't been in touch with in years.
- Scott Ferrall - Latched onto Howard Stern's coat-tails to get a show on Sirius. Naturally, had to bash O&A to prove "loyalty" to Stern. UPDATE 2/6/09: According to Opie, Scott Ferrall has since apologized and the two shows have buried the hatchet.
