David Lee Roth

David Lee Roth is the ex-lead singer of Van Halen who was hired to replace Howard Stern on several of his radio stations when Stern moved to Sirius in January, 2006. Reviews and ratings were both abysmal, and Roth lost his job in April. He was immediately replaced by Opie and Anthony. It was unclear whether Roth was intentionally set up to fail (in order to take the heat off Stern's true replacement), or whether his bosses just made a bad move in hiring him; Opie has admitted on the show that it was the latter.

O&A have also goofed on Roth for a number of other reasons, including his attempt to sing a bluegrass version of Van Halen's "Jump", and after the announcement that Roth would reunite with Van Halen for a reunion tour. They ended up pissing off the members of the RothFans message board, by making up a story about the reunion tour being cancelled.
