"Chocolate Rain" is a song performed by Tay Zonday and posted on the video site YouTube. The video features Zonday, who looks like Steve Urkel and sings like Sammy Davis, Jr., singing into a microphone and occasionally turning his head away from the mic to breathe. Danny discovered the video and brought it to The Opie and Anthony Show, where it became an instant hit. O&A, who joked about how "Chocolate Rain" sounded like a term for diarrhea, even did a brief phone-in interview with Zonday.
Soon, the video started taking off across the country, with Zonday appearing on Jimmy Kimmel's talk show and news outlets such as CNN covering the video phenomenon. Unfortunately, very few people gave credit to O&A for the video taking off, even though they were probably one of the first to expose it to a national audience.
