After seeing Billy Crystal's one man show on a free ticket from his agent, Jim Norton was invited to the shows after-party. There were many rules of behavior, but the rule that applied to lil Jim the most was that there was to be no pictures taken at Tavern on the Green. Not one to follow the rules, Jim brought his digital camera anyway. Many celebrities attended; one of the celebrities that attended was Robert De Niro. With hurried anticipation, James Norton rushed over to Mr. Deniro and tapped him on the shoulder saying "Bob? Can I get a picture with you?" To his dismay, Jim was turned down and his dream of telling him that De Niro that his performance in The King of Comedy really spoke to him was dashed.
