Billy Staples
From OAPedia.com
Billy Staples is the former phone screener for the Ron and Fez show. He's been in and out of rehab for years. Also known as "Fat Guy", a name he got from having his stomach stapled.
Before landing a gig on Ron and Fez, he appeared on Crossing Over with John Edward. Billy remains steadfast that John Edward has paranormal abilities, despite the fact that Billy volunteered nearly all the information that Edward "revealed."
His time working on Ron and Fez was as unpredictable as his status as a recovering alchoholic. He's best remembered for slam time drinking session with Lobster Claws, earning 4 letters as a varsity athlete in high school, and using Al Dukes's paycheck for wiping his presumably rancid and sweaty ass followed by the subsequent apology for said ass-wiping.
When he was attempting a career in comedy, he got torn apart by hardcore Opie and Anthony fans at a show in Red Bank, NJ while opening for Jim Norton and Rich Vos in August, 2002. Afterwards he spiraled into a severe depression and was MIA for several days. It was later found out that he calculated how many miles the WNEW signal reached, and moved out of range of the station's reach. He later abanoned his dream of becoming a comic, and moved to L.A. to pursue acting, and has appeared on Third Watch and the Incubus video "Talk Shows on Mute."
