Bill Burr is a comedian and frequent guest on The Opie and Anthony Show. He also co-hosts a show on The Saturday Night Virus with Joe DeRosa called Uninformed.
Bio
Already a solid headlining road act, Bill is not so much a token as he is a killer headlining comic who stars in the famous Chappelle's Show sketches "Race Draft" and "Samuel Jackson's Beer". Bill also has his own Comedy Central Presents Special, and boasts Letterman and Conan appearances on this resume, as well.
Bill Burr has emerged as one of the freshest voices working in comedy today. He has taped his own half hour standup special for Comedy Central, leading to appearances on VH-1's I Love the 80's, Comedy Central's Shorties Watching Shorties, and The Opie and Anthony Show
Look for him on an upcoming appearance of The Late Show with David Letterman. Bill was the hit of the 2004 "Just for Laugh" Festival in Montreal, Canada.
Fun Facts
- Was one of the few white performers on Chappelle's Show. After Dave Chappelle declared on Oprah that he left the show as a result of a white guy laughing at him on the set, Opie and Anthony jokingly labeled Burr as the mentioned "white guy" and claimed he destroyed the show.
- Invented the "mousetrap" bit on the show.
- After attendees at the September 9, 2006 Traveling Virus show in Camden, NJ began heckling some of the performers, Burr viciously attacked them during his standup set. The incident became legendary and video of it leaked onto YouTube.
- Got suckered by the ShamWow commercial. Said it was a piece of shit but later changed his opinion after it's proper use was demonstrated in-front of him at a mall.
- Is a big conspiracy theorist.
- Has a weekly podcast called the "Monday Morning Podcast" which is almost always released on Monday morning.
- Wrote blogs for the NHL. His last was in May of 2009.
- Thought the Pentagon was a place that you could visit just like any other tourist attraction.
- To get free World Series tickets, Bill had to perform comedy on a small bus full of rival fans. He had to perform the whole way to the stadium that the game was being played at. The bus then got stuck in traffic and Bill ran out of material. He bombed the whole way.
