Ben Sparks

Ben Sparks is the disgruntled former producer for The Opie and Anthony Show on XM. He was previously assistant producer for their WNEW radio show. Known for having a large bulge in the front of his pants, his spastic body movements known as "herkying and jerkying", having a tiny cell phone, being a gossip, laughing at inappropriate times, having unmanageable hair, being a Boston sports fanatic, and having had a bad case of food poisoning which earned him the nickname "Ol' Gravy Legs". He has also been known to comb his hair with car bombs, M-80s, and helicopters. Ben was also known to have substance abuse problems. Opie saved from being fired multiple times by XM management until he was ultimately let go.
Ben Sparks is currently conspiring with former executive producer Rick Delgado to humiliate Opie which was accomplished in a published article in the NY Post. He was apparently sending Opie harassing text messages, and Ben claims he has a sex tape of Opie's fiance, Lindsey O'Gratton which is a blatant lie according to Opie, however to date Lindsey has yet to officially deny that she has ever made a sex tape.. O&A discussed this on the air on April 23, 2008, after an article appeared in the New York Post; although neither O&A nor the article mentioned Ben by name, it is assumed he's the one responsible for the story. Opie has indicated legal action will be taken against him even against the advise of counsel.
