AFRO is an acronym for Anthony, Fez, Ron, and Opie. An AFRO show occurred at WNEW when either Ron and Fez came in early or stayed late (depending on when they were on, since they tossed around slots often) and sat in studio with O&A. Or vice versa.

One of the most memorable AFRO moments was after a Christmas party on R&F when Opie made a dominatrix cry by calling her Joey Ramone. The young lady was subsequently torn apart by everyone in attendance.

There are variations on the AFRO show, based on whoever is in studio. When only Anthony sat in on Ron and Fez's show, it was referred to as an ARF show. Another time there were so many people in studio that Anthony said a new acronym was needed. A listener came up with FART POSSE, for Fez, Anthony, Ron, Than, Pat Duffy, Opie, Steve C, Sam, and Earl.
