9/11 Truthers

9/11 Truthers are confused, delusional people who believe the September 11th terror attacks were perpetrated by the United States government. Opie and Anthony usually confront these people on their show, such as when producers of the 9/11 documentary Loose Change called in, and once during the Walk Over when truthers approached O&A with their "theories". Anthony gives fact-based explanations to counter their arguments, and Jim Norton also uses common sense to show why their beliefs are wrong. Jimmy believes the truthers are looking to belong to some special group that only they're "in the know" about, but they're really a bunch of lost little children.

For example, Jimmy often states that 9/11 conspiracies end up being very far-fetched, and that if President Bush really brought about the attacks on 9/11, it would have been simpler for him to just arrange for the terrorists to fly planes into buildings. The explanation given by Truthers is that missiles actually brought down the buildings, and that the planes that supposedly crashed into them were flown to a secret location (which doesn't explain what happened to all the people on those planes and where they ended up). Another explanation Jimmy debunks is the belief that Tower 7, which was destroyed by debris from the Twin Towers and also collapsed, was brought down by a controlled demolition. Jimmy asks what would be the point in deliberately destroying a building that had nothing to do with the Twin Towers; if the goal of the 9/11 "conspirators" was to destroy the Twin Towers, then deliberately destroying a nearby building would be unnecessary.
